Ralstonia eutropha H16 possesses an incomplete phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP):sugar phosphotransferase system (PTS) composed of EI, HPr, EIIA(Ntr) (PtsN) and EIIA(Man) (PtsM). We could show that in vitro the incomplete PTS phosphorylation cascade is partially functional.
